COSRX is a South Korean skincare brand, and its Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, BHA Blackhead Power Liquid and Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser are among the most searched Korean skincare products in Pakistan. Popular products are also the ones most often copied, so it pays to know what to check. This guide shows how to verify COSRX, what to check when buying on a marketplace, and where to buy genuine COSRX in Pakistan. For more on the brand, see COSRX in Pakistan: official authentic seller.
Authenticity Red Flags: How to Spot Fake COSRX Before You Buy
Copies can look close to the real thing at first glance. These are the most useful warning signs, whether you shop online or in a local cosmetics market.
1. Batch code verification fails. Every genuine COSRX product has a batch code printed or embossed on the base or side of the packaging. Visit official.cosrx.com/record, enter that code, and an authentic product returns its details. A missing code, a code from a different product or no result at all is a warning sign.
2. The price is far below other trusted sellers. Original COSRX costs about the same at every trusted seller. A price far below that usually means old stock or a copy. Check the live price on our COSRX collection to compare.
3. Packaging inconsistencies. COSRX uses crisp, clean printing. Check that the brand name, ingredient list and date stamp are clearly printed. Blurry fonts, spelling mistakes, misaligned labels or a broken seal are warning signs.
4. Texture and scent are off. The COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser is a light gel with a light, herbal tea-tree scent. The Advanced Snail 96 Essence is a clear, slightly stringy gel with no added fragrance. The BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is a clear, watery liquid. If a product smells strongly chemical, separates or looks different from these descriptions, do not use it.
5. The seller cannot explain the supply chain. A trustworthy retailer can tell you where its stock comes from. If a seller cannot confirm that the products come from COSRX or an authorised distributor, choose another seller.
How to Verify COSRX Batch Codes: Step-by-Step for Pakistan Buyers
COSRX runs an official batch code checker that works from anywhere, including Pakistan:
Step 1 — Find the batch code. Look for the letters and numbers printed or embossed on the base or side of the product and on its outer box.
Step 2 — Visit official.cosrx.com/record. Open official.cosrx.com/record on any device.
Step 3 — Enter the code and read the result. Type the code exactly as printed. A genuine product returns its product details and manufacturing information.
Step 4 — Check the date. Compare the manufacturing date with the expiry date on the pack. A recent manufacturing date means fresher stock; very old stock is best avoided even if it is genuine.
You can also decode batch codes for many Korean brands on checkfresh.com. Our guide to checking if Korean skincare is original explains where to find codes on tubes, jars and boxes.
Buying COSRX on Daraz: What to Check
Daraz describes itself as an online marketplace platform for vendors and customers. Sellers register and list their own products, so one COSRX product can appear from many different shops. Brands can also run official stores on DarazMall, Daraz's section for brands, and Daraz's return policy page says DarazMall items are covered by its 2x Money Back Guarantee (checked 16 October 2026).
If you shop there, use the same checks you would use anywhere:
- Seller: read the shop name and ratings, and see whether the listing is the brand's official store on DarazMall.
- Batch code and expiry: when the parcel arrives, check the code on official.cosrx.com/record and look at the dates.
- Sealed box: the outer box and the inner seal should be intact.
- Return policy: Daraz asks for a return request within 14 days of delivery. For beauty and personal care, change of mind is not accepted, while damaged, defective, incorrect or expired items can be returned, unused and in their original packaging.
- Storage: COSRX essences and serums are best kept away from heat and direct sun, so ask how stock is stored if you buy in summer.
