How do I use a Mary & May spicule cream, and is the tingle normal?

Spicules are tiny needle-like particles. As you massage the cream in, they give a slightly prickly, tingling feel that should fade within minutes; that is expected. It is a cosmetic cream, not microneedling, so it works far more gently than a clinic treatment.

1. Cleanse, apply toner and let your skin dry.
2. Massage a thin layer over the face with light pressure for about a minute, avoiding the eyes and lips.
3. Once it has absorbed, apply a gentle, hydrating moisturiser.
4. Start once a week; go up to twice a week only if your skin stays comfortable.

Skip retinol, AHA, BHA and scrubs on spicule nights and the day after, and wear a broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen every morning. Do not use spicule creams on broken, sunburnt or inflamed skin.
