How do you use The Ordinary AHA BHA Peel?
Evening
- Patch-test first: apply a little on the jawline, rinse after 10 minutes and wait 24 hours.
- Cleanse and dry your face completely.
- Spread a thin, even layer over the face, avoiding the eyes, lips, the corners of the nose and any broken skin.
- Leave it on for no more than 10 minutes. Mild tingling is normal; if it burns or stings strongly, rinse it off straight away.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, then apply a plain hydrating serum and moisturiser, for example The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 + Ceramides.
Use it at most twice a week, never on back-to-back nights, and start once a week. On peel nights skip retinol, vitamin C, other AHA or BHA products and scrubs. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen every morning, because acids make skin more sensitive to the sun.
